I’m Steve, a 21-year-old digital marketing consultant driven by results, not red tape.

During my internship at one of the country’s leading digital marketing firms, I had a front-row seat to how the industry operates at scale. The office was impressive—towering downtown views, entire floors dedicated to teams, and even high-end coffee machines on every level. But behind the sleek exterior, I noticed something important: enormous overhead, endless processes, and a lot of wasted resources that didn’t translate into better results for clients.

That experience shaped my vision. I realized businesses today don’t need more layers of approval or expensive perks—they need agile, data-driven strategies that deliver measurable growth. So I set out to build my own consultancy, designed to be lean, efficient, and client-focused from day one.

How It Started

When I first stepped into the world of digital marketing, I thought I had made it. At just 21 years old, I landed an internship at one of the top firms in the industry—an opportunity most people dream about. Their offices were stunning: massive glass windows overlooking the city, entire floors buzzing with teams, and even high-end coffee machines that seemed more important than the work itself.

But as the days went on, I realized something wasn’t right. Behind the polished image and expensive overhead was a system that wasn’t built for clients—it was built for the firm. Too much process. Too much waste. Too much money going into appearances, not results.

That’s when it clicked: real businesses, especially startups and entrepreneurs, don’t need bureaucracy. They need strategies that are lean, adaptable, and focused on growth.

So, I started from zero. No investors, no massive office space, no coffee machines that cost more than my laptop. Just me, my laptop, and an idea: to create a consultancy where clients actually come first.

I spent late nights learning, building, and testing. I taught myself how to code and design so I could build my website, steveufuoma.com from scratch— then I realised, coding’s not for me. I found website builders that saved my a lot of time and got me the same (maybe even better) results than if I coded it myself.
